FEEDING PEOPLE FOOD - THE WAY FOOD WAS MEANT TO BE

Amie Valpone is an expert in whole living. She is a recipe author, food media expert, prolific food writer specializing in gluten-free and dairy-free nutrition and health and food culinary nutritionist.

With a passion for cooking and healthy living, and after graduating from Boston University Business School, Valpone received culinary training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in Manhattan.

Additionally, and with years of stomach problems, Valpone realized that she could not consume gluten, dairy (except an occasional Greek yogurt), grains or sugar. She also discovered an allergy to sulfates and could not digest packaged foods. These issues forced her to follow a clean lifestyle filled with lean proteins, health fats and lots of veggies.

Amie shares her approach to clean eating through her blog "The Healthy Apple," providing balanced, accessible and engaging information on the most basic components of good health. She is also the publisher and marketing director of the online gluten-free magazine, Easy Eats, as well as recipe editor for a broad spectrum of culinary and healthy living publications.

Not limiting her focus to corporate institutions and brands, Amie also works with individuals, helping them transition into healthier lifestyles. Never using the word 'diet,' she stands by the truth that "each of us has control over what we put into our mouths and these choices impact our bodies now and in the future."
